Job Title: Counsellor
Responsible to: Focal DFS, Regional Coordinator & Program Manager
Essential Job description §  Counsel registered TB patients in the assigned health facilities for treatment adherence and completion.

§  Counsel eligible family members of Bacteriologically Positive Patient for screening and LTBI/TB preventive treatment

§  Conduct household visits of Bacteriologically positive TB patients for counseling of their families for screening and LTBI treatment (eligible members only) on need basis

§  Counselling of Rifampicin Resistant TB patients who refused to get registered at PMDT sites

§  Maintain record of patients counselled and followed up till outcome declaration

§  Facilitate District Field Supervisor in follow up and counselling of the refusals/ lost to follow up patients and ensure treatment adherence and completion.

§  Develop and follow the monthly work plan in coordination with the supervisor

§  Conduct training sessions/ provide support in capacity building/on job training of field staff of the assigned district on communication and counseling skills on regular basis

§  Ensure timely LTBI/preventive treatment data collection and provision to implementing partners for analysis

§  Prepare field progress report based on the work plan and submit on monthly basis to the supervisor

§  Facilitate Project Manager / Regional Coordinator and others officials during field M&E visit in the respective area.

§  To conduct regular visits of Bac positive patients for contact screening registered for presumptive identification and examination to exclude LTBI for giving them TPT.

§  Support the digitalization of all PPM data and facilitate the BMGF staff during their field visits.

§  Prepare and submission of his weekly work plan to RC and Headoffice along with activity report of the previous week.

§  To keep secrets of all the official matters, while assisting the management.

§  Any other task or responsibility as assigned by the Project Manager/ Regional Coordinator from time to time.

§  Strict and timely compliance of the office orders/instructions issued by H.O from time to time.

§  Ensure compliance with security procedures and policies as determined by country leadership
Works Directly With:
§  Will work directly with local DFS under supervision of focal DFS, Regional Coordinator and Project Manager.
Qualifications/Skills: §  Bachelors with minimum of two years’ experience of working in development sector as counselor/similar role.

§  Qualified Psychologists will be given preference.

§  Excellent communication, counselling, coordination and training skills require.

§  Fluency in written and spoken English, Urdu, Pashtu will be a plus.

§  Good computer skills including MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Power Point)

§  At least 2 years of relevant work experience with national and International organization preferably in health sector.

§  Team members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and respect local laws, customs and MC’s policies, procedures, and values at all times and in all in-country venues

§  Strong morals viz. honesty, transparency, generosity, and respect

§  Well motivated, team member able to work alone and/or without supervision

§  Duty Stations: Abbotabad., Swat (Residents possessing District domicile of the concerned district will be given preference).

§  Maximum age limit: 35 years

§  Mandatory documents: Valid Driving License Motor Car/Motor Cycle

§  Personal Laptop is mandatory
